Bluetube Pavilion
2010, Portugal
Bluetube is a temporary pavilion designed to operate as an outdoor bar at the annual student festival in Porto. It is an exercise in the inventive use of low-cost materials that are typically not made visible. We used corrugated tube and cable ties to create a cladding system that brought to the surface layers that usually lie beneath. The corrugated tube was installed in a helicoid manner around a metal frame. The construction process confirmed the versatility of the cladding system.
