Bodyphonic Gardens

2012, Portugal

Bodyphonic was one of the winning projects of ‘Performance Architecture’, a competition organized within the scope of Guimarães 2012 European Capital of Culture. The installation provided the public with a set of sculptural instruments that would activate a symphony of soundscapes. The structures were built on four existing platforms, each of them inviting interaction with a different part of the body to produce a different sound. This project investigates alternative relationships between bodies and the physical structures that define public spaces.
